World War II
Memories and Biography
(Taken from a letter to Mr. Henry, forwarded to Will Lundy)
(Sam William's crew)
Dear Mr. Henry:
I wrote a letter to the 50th Anniversary of World War II Commemoration Committee and, in turn, I was referred to you as the person who might help me obtain the information I am seeking.
I am a combat veteran of the 44th Heavy Bombardment Group (B-24s) stationed at Shipdham, England during the war. Do you have any information on how I could contact someone who has knowledge of the group? I am certain that the group will be having a 50th anniversary celebration, and I do not want to miss out on it. I would greatly appreciate any information that you might have for me.
