Dear Mr. Lundy:
I was a member of a "casual squadron" and in England by the summer of 1943. Assigned to 44th (if I recall properly) in October, first as a "watch officer" and, then as Ordnance Officer, 506th Squadron - I succeeded Lt. Brisendine (check spelling) - Capt. McKee was Armament Officer and Lt. Col. McAtee was CO 506th.
Remained with 44th until mustered out Sioux Falls, Ft. Meade 1945.
Joined Virginia National Guard and served in several capacities field artillery (battery and battalion).
Out of guard 1963 (Major USAR Ret.)
