Dear Will:

A quick note hoping you are both keeping well. We are looking forward to a trip to Dayton in July.

Most of the crew of the "M12 AH" voted not to join the 44th group activities so I guess that's the way it will be.

We were able to locate the copilot and have now an account of nine from the original crew of ten. Only Doug Wilson, the navigator is unaccounted for.

The copilot was John B. Taylor, 1745 Catalba Rd., Carlsbad, California 92009

Look forward to saying "Hi" to you in Dayton.

Mel isn't doing very well these days, but he is looking forward to the trip (so is Dean Johnson).

Take care of yourselves.

Dear Mr. Lundy:

Received your letter of January 24th. I'm writing this for my husband, Melvin (or "Big Tom" as he was called in the service) because he suffered a stroke last September and is still unable to write at this time.

Yes, he was with the 67th at Shipdham, flew four missions with John Mueller's crew, then was grounded and worked as a mechanic for Callaway (67th Sq.).

I lived with my grandmother on Mill Street (near the Standard Pub) and we were married in the church on High Street, June 14, 1945 at 8:00 a.m. before the 67th left for Scotland and home. Our best man was Jim Gianaupolous, who used to live in Chicago, Homer Blakely was one of Tom's friends, also Gayle Cheek (Merrillville), Dean Johnson, Bob Sykes, Allen Fitch, Bob Murphy. Would appreciate any information you can give us.

The last time we went back to England was in 1970 for our 25th anniversary. All that was left of the base was a sad-looking "control tower." Have movies and lots of memories.

My husband is a sheet-metal worker for the Gary Public Schools. We have four children ages 17 to 33 years.

Thanks for your letter. Hope to hear from you again.
